Planet A-Star launched The Best English Exam Guide at the 2002 World Book Fair in Singapore, which enjoyed tremendous success and response. Principals, teachers, tutors, parents and students have found the excellent exam-oriented explanatory notes and exercises most useful.

The Guide teaches primary school students the essential skills to excel in creative writing and score full marks in the cloze and comprehension sections. Secondary school students learn all the critical skills to score an A1 in essay writing, letter writing, report writing, summary writing, book and film reviews.

Several government schools and private learning centres in Singapore are using the Guide successfully to prepare their students to excel in their English examinations.

Planet A-Star designs and conducts special Intensive English Courses to meet the needs of different schools. The main objective is to help schools increase the number of students who will be able to score distinctions in their respective English examinations. Other courses can be tailor-made to help the students in the other levels to improve their examination grades as well.
